INSTRUCTIONS FOR MORE SENSITIVE PAINTERS

Try it first - only by testing you can be 100% sure that the products are right for you.

It is good for all of us, but especially those with chemical allergies and exposures, asthmatics and sensitizers, to always be careful when using protective equipment and, if possible, to test the suitability of the product before starting the painting work in a well-ventilated area.

If you are unsure about the suitability of Frenchic products, start experimenting with products from the Lazy Range series .

Read the instructions on the side of the paint can and always follow the instructions

- Check whether the surface to be painted contains hazardous factors (e.g. lead, asbestos)
- Prepare the substrates according to the manufacturer's instructions before painting
- Keep all paints safely out of the reach of children
- Restrict access to areas to be painted and post "fresh paint" signs
- Use the recommended personal protective equipment and make sure it fits. You may need eye, skin and respiratory protection
- Keep dust to a minimum
- Reuse or recycle surplus paint
- Wipe the brushes and rollers clean before washing
- Clean carefully with a HEPA vacuum cleaner after painting
- Dispose of waste safely
- Wash your hands thoroughly before eating, drinking, smoking and going home

- Do not eat, drink or smoke while applying the paint
- Do not breathe wood or sanding dust
- Do not use solvents or thinners to clean paint stains from the skin
- Do not sand or burn old paint that may contain lead
- Do not pour paint or solvents down the drain
- Do not leave container lids open when not in use

Take care of adequate ventilation and ventilation during painting work and paint drying, but for at least two days.

Consider drying times and the need for ventilation, especially if you are painting children's furniture, for example a bed or bedroom walls.

Protect yourself and your workspace carefully

When painting with allergic and sensitive people and children, you should always use protective equipment when painting and waxing.

The most important protective equipment are protective gloves and goggles

Also protect the workspace and wear suitable work clothes for the painting project, with protective long sleeves and pant legs.

Paint may splash on the skin when painting.

With appropriate protective clothing, you avoid unnecessary skin contact with the paint.

Like water-based paints in general, Frenchic paints also contain a little preservative, which may cause an allergic reaction to already sensitized people if the paint gets splashed on the skin.

Immediately wash the paint off the skin with soap and water

Also wear safety glasses when painting (other than when painting the ceiling).

VOC - what are they?

VOC ( short for volatile organic compound ) are harmful organic, volatile compounds that can be found in many paints. These compounds, which are dangerous to health and nature, evaporate into the room air, causing allergic or hypersensitivity reactions.

Long-term exposure to harmful organic compounds can lead to e.g. damage to internal organs or the central nervous system. Short-term exposure, on the other hand, causes, for example, burning eyes, headache, shortness of breath, fatigue, skin symptoms, visual disturbances and weakness.

It may be useful to know that these VOC substances are not present in the dry surface film of paints for a long time. To be clear, they mostly evaporate during the application and drying process, so they don't last long. The same is true for all VOCs.

Frenchic series paints have little or minimal VOC substances.

All Frenchic paint ingredients are listed on the side of the paint can
