How to choose a functional color palette for home decor?
Start by observing the light
See from which direction light generally comes into your home, and then room by room. In the bedroom, the light may be softer, while in the kitchen it can be brighter or more direct.
Colors look different under different lighting. Northern light is often cool and bluish, so warm shades work especially well with it.
Limit the color palette
If you want a cohesive and thoughtful interior, use only a few matching shades. Once you have the main colors under control, you can update them as needed according to seasons or mood.
The strong impact of colors is best seen when only a limited number of shades are used.
