ARTRESIN EPOXY INSTRUCTIONS AND A GUIDE TO SUCCESSFUL EPOXY WORK

MEASURE
Wearing gloves, pour equal amounts of resin and hardener into a mixing cup.
You can use our resin coverage calculator to figure out how much you need.
TIP - Mix a little more than you think you'll need, so you can cover your piece completely in one go and won't need to mix more later.

MIX THOROUGHLY AND FOR A LONG TIME
Mix really well - for at least 3 minutes. Scrape the sides and bottom to make sure you mix thoroughly (unmixed material will leave sticky spots that simply won't cure).
Once the resin and hardener are combined, you have about 45 minutes of working time before the resin thickens and cures.

ArtResin is not self-igniting and contains UV protection, so the surface won't yellow.
The result is a perfectly clear, stunning, high-gloss surface.
You can color ArtResin epoxy yourself using the kit's own colorants, alcohol inks, paint, etc.

WAIT
Once you've made sure your piece is level (use a spirit level), pour ArtResin® epoxy over it. Don't worry! It will begin to level itself out, and you can spread it into place.
Let the resin flow over the edges, then use just a brush or spatula to tidy it up. You'll notice the bubbles start to rise to the surface.
Many of them will pop on their own, but you can also pop them yourself for a flawless finish - a small torch works great for this.
TIP - Wood panels, various boards and plywood are best for large pieces instead of canvas, as they won't sag under the weight of the resin.

WAIT
ArtResin® must be kept in a dust-free area for several hours until it cures.
- After about 8 hours, it is tacky, but you can pour a second layer if needed.
- After about 12 hours, it is dry to the touch, and
- Within 24 hours, it is 95% cured.
It is fully cured within 72 hours.
CLEANING - If you want to reuse your mixing tools, wipe them with a paper towel before the resin dries.
When you work at the right temperature, measure the components carefully, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions, you’ll achieve a durable, crystal-clear, beautiful result.
