Start here to explore the versatile Frenchic Paint® range

Great that you found us! In this article, we’ll briefly go over the innovative features of the award-winning Frenchic Paint® range, as well as the differences between the ranges and how to use them. 

There are 3 different paint ranges in the selection: 

  1. Trim Paint, trim and door paint
  2. Al Fresco, garden furniture paint
  3. Wall paints

Painting with Frenchic paints is quite simple (though there are always numerous exceptions)

  1. Thoroughly clean grease and dirt from the surface to be painted
  2. Rinse off the cleaning product you used
  3. Sand or roughen. Wipe away the dust. 
  4. Apply at least two coats of well-mixed paint. Follow the drying times between coats. 
  5. That's it!

Some of the most important and beloved features of Frenchic paints: 

  • Fast-drying paint range. Layer drying times vary by range from 1-4h. 
  • A paint range containing primer: excellent adhesion, prevents stains and knot bleed-through. Fills small holes and unevenness. 
  • Levels out to a beautiful, smooth surface, even when applied with a brush. 
  • Contains the necessary protective agents already, so no topcoat or wax is needed. For example, paints in the Al Fresco range also contain both an anti-mold agent and UV protection to prevent colors from fading. 
  • White shades do not yellow
  • All shades in the Frenchic Paint® range are 100% solvent-free, water-based. 
  • The shades resemble traditional colors and differ from the domestic selection

The gloss levels of the ranges are:

    • Al Fresco: matte
    • Trim Paint: satin
    • Wall paint: ultra-matte

 

  • All paints in the Frenchic range are suitable for painting interior surfaces and cold spaces in winter, such as caravans - and for touching up car surfaces, summer cottages and porches. 
  • Only paints from the Al Fresco range are suitable for painting exterior surfaces. (also interior surfaces)
  • Each range has its own shades.
  • Can sizes vary by range.

  • One paint range is suitable for many surfaces: reduces waste and saves you money at the same time. 
  • All paints in the Frenchic range are suitable for painting furniture or kitchen cabinets, for example, and create a durable, washable finish. 
  • The wall paint range and our Tuff Top Coat finish coat have the highest possible ISO rating for washability: wet-scrub class 1
  • Frenchic wall paint has won awards in two years as the best wall paint and the best washable paint. 
  • Paints in the Al Fresco range are suitable for indoor and outdoor use on wood, metal, MDF, plastic, glass, concrete and ceramic tiles. 
  • The Al Fresco range was voted the best garden furniture paint in 2025. 
  • All Frenchic paints are tested, non-toxic, plastic-free and safe to use. Every range has European 'Toy Safe' certification. 
  • Frenchic natural waxes are beeswax-based and really pleasant to use
  • Frenchic paints have a low odor and are pleasant to use indoors
  • Frenchic paints have a high pigment and solids content, so they offer good coverage. That’s why it’s very important to stir the paints. 
  • Frenchic paints have a thicker consistency than you’re used to, almost gel-like - very pleasant to use, with excellent glide and virtually no drips. The paints in the Trim Paint range have the thinnest consistency in this range. 
  • Even beginners can achieve a beautiful, smooth finish with Frenchic paints
  • A new paint range that’s incredibly easy to use and versatile

So you can choose a shade from any Frenchic range for indoor furniture or interior surfaces, but for outdoor surfaces and outdoor furniture, only weather-resistant Al Fresco range paint is suitable.
