Lovely easy and striking transfer decals - no glue or varnishes needed for application!
You can attach the transfer decal to walls, doors, furniture, frames... You can cut the transfer decal sheets and arrange the designs as you like or divide them into multiple projects. Each package has inspiring example images on the back.
The transfer decal is easily applied by rubbing onto a smooth surface without glue or varnish. A tool is included in the package.
Suitable for wood, metal, glass, mirrors, or plastic, for example. If the surface will be subject to wear, we recommend sealing it with wax or a Finishing Coat at the end.
Transfer decal pack containing 4 sheets.
One sheet size: 30.5 x 40.5 cm.
Includes instructions in English.
Prepare the surface for application
Keep the transfer decal sheet with its backing until you are ready to apply it. Keep dust and debris away as they interfere with adhesion. Do not let the adhesive side of the transfer decal touch anything before application. When handling the transfer decal, avoid letting the adhesive side touch itself (do not do this in windy environments). Do not store the transfer decal in extreme temperatures or humid conditions that may affect adhesion.
If you only use part of the design, cut the design with the backing sheet and keep the rest also with its backing.
Placement
Start with a clean, dry, matte surface. If you have painted, make sure it is fully cured, and if you have sanded the paint, ensure there is no dust residue. All these factors interfere with adhesion. You can also brush a Finishing Coat onto the surface before placement. Make sure the surface is completely dry before working.
Carefully peel the transfer decal from the white backing sheet. Slowly and carefully place the chosen design onto the intended surface, ensuring it does not touch anything before it is correctly positioned. Hold the chosen sheet in place with small pieces of low-tack/delicate surface tape.
Use the tool included in the package or one of your choice, start rubbing from one end of the transfer decal and rub quite firmly so the design adheres to the surface. Continue until the entire design is transferred. Check by gently lifting the sheet and if any part does not transfer when lifted, simply place it back down and rub that part more. Once the design is transferred, smooth out any areas that have not adhered evenly with a clean dry hand.
We recommend sealing with a water-based (or non-strong solvent) sealer (waxes made for lime paints also work well if they do not contain strong solvents).
Bonus tip! If you’re an avid DIYer or painter and do lots of different DIY projects, two Frenchic products are - 'must-haves': Frenchic waxes and Finishing Coat.
Choosing a paint is easy with the Frenchic range. If you're painting indoor surfaces, you can choose a shade from any range.
Frenchic paints are so-called hybrid paints, suitable for many different surfaces and materials.
The 27-page, Finnish-language Frenchic color guide booklet helps you choose Frenchic shades
The color guide also includes all shades sold in Finland (October 2024) and their descriptions.
You can find the color guide here
The back page of the handy color guide has space for notes, where you can list the shades and surfaces you have already used.
Please note! For technical printing reasons, the color guide does not replace the color chart or serve as a shade sample. Order the color chart separately. The color chart includes shades from two ranges: Al Fresco and Lazy Range. The color chart is in English.
Peel & Stick color samples are removable mini samples made with real paint to ensure a perfect color match. No mess, no stress – peel the sticker off its backing, stick it to a wall or cabinet door, and let your heart decide!
By ordering Peel & Stick samples, you can test the paint right where the decision is made: in your own home. Order at least two of your favorite shades and see the difference in natural light, artificial light, and against different wall surfaces.
Easy to compare and reliable results.
We do our utmost to ensure that the shades in our online store are as close as possible to the actual shades, but colors may vary between devices - depending on several factors, such as the display settings on your phone, tablet, or computer.
This means that we cannot guarantee that the paint shade will exactly match what you see on your screen.
We always recommend testing the shade in the space and on the surface where you plan to use it before starting a larger project. Order individual shade cards, a Color Chart, or a Color Guide magazine for color planning.
Please also note that 250 ml and 750 ml tins are always from different production batches. Avoid shade differences between batches by mixing paints from different batches together: this will ensure that the shade is exactly the same throughout your project.
Examine and assess the shade only once it is dry and has been painted at least twice according to the instructions. Order a small tin to test it, or visit your nearest retailer to see the colors in person. The color chart includes shades from two ranges: Al Fresco and Lazy Range.
NOTE! The Peel & Stick sample has the text Chalk Wall Paint printed on it because the shade samples were originally made for choosing wall paint shades. Please note that the shade range in Finland differs from that in England.
However, you can also use a Peel & Stick shade sample to choose shades from other ranges!
Also make sure you set aside enough paint for your project:
Make sure you set aside enough paint to complete your project. Due to high demand, some shades are also sold out. The standard advice in the industry is that if you need more than one can of paint, make sure they are from the same production batch (batch number) or, if that is not possible, mix the batches together before painting to ensure a consistent result. Thoroughly mixing the paint (for a long time and right down to the bottom) is important to achieve the correct shade. If touch-up painting is needed, we recommend painting the entire area instead of doing a small patch, so that the repair is as inconspicuous as possible.
